Best Debut I've read so far & I've read nearly 30 books this year.
The Receptionist was hands down -SPLENDID!The thrill of the chase is often overrated but not in this amazing new thriller by Kate Myles.
So, you might wonder what does a top CEO and a pregnant top talent agent have in common?
You'd probably not be surprised to find out nothing but a newborn named Grace and a mistress named Chloe (who by the way is only twenty three years of age).
Well, this isn't going as planned but before you go feeling sorry for anyone you must know a few things. The plans are in the works to get rid of the problems but it takes two to tango with three being a crowd.
Now, I love sugar but it might not be wise to mix it with gasoline or is it?
Who knows as it's been a threat I've had thrown at myself numerous times over the years in my own abusive situation.
It's so hard to keep things a secret and folks much of the action here isn't necessarily happening behind closed doors but burners are great -aren't they?
In case you might be wondering this group are truly close in more ways than one but someday and someway -someone must pay!
The price is steep but the reality of spending a lifetime in prison is steeper.
Who know the sun always comes up and perhaps Grace will learn many years later that her parents were engaged in some heavy shiite like crack or like hiring an outsider to do someone in completely.
The action as you can tell ratchets up quite nicely and never lets up. It's like high octane all the while and many might find themselves looking up or down as the case may be.
Anyway one thing is certain someone will pay the ultimate price. Another will find the orange uniform as a new souvenir. Still, the child Grace is only twelve and by the time the smoke clears it's all or nothing.
Speaking of the word nothing-that reminds me- "Nothing matters."
Thank you Kate Myles as this debut is out of this world! FANTASTIC!
