The Forever Girl has hit the shelves and it's bringing with it -hope, dreams, fears, and challenges of life to the forefront of everyone's conscious.
I wasn't sure if it would be a worthwhile comeback because it started off slow but it's one of those that when the end is near you're praising the book gods you hung on.
The story revolves around a foster care system in which Cat, Maze, Heather, and Walker all found themselves entangled in which forever altered them all.
It was the best of times and it was the worst of times and somewhere along the line we must make a truce and call it even.
What I wasn't expecting was the banter, the dialogue, the deep discussions and the quick wit of Walker and Maze. In fact, damn girl-MAZE- you drove me NUTZ! (Yes, the incorrect spelling is for emphasis). Talk about barriers, not wanting to get hurt, building walls, and all that loathsome detail.
Will Walker ever get her to commit especially now that love is in the air with Cat on the verge of being married?
After all does love ever fade?
The plot thickens with Heather's sad story about her pregnancy, her relationship with the father, and the distraught outcome of it all.
Next up is 'Mayhem Maze' who just learned that Mayhem might just be her entire existence or at least for the last six months or so because of Elvis and company. OMG! He filed the papers?! Are you kidding me?
Ok, I digress as we have more to uncover with Jace and Michael plus this horrific event at the home that resulted in at least two characters blaming themselves for Michael's death when it was really no fault of their own.
In the end, readers are invited to more than just one wedding but one of the brides goes AWOL! Haha! Run like hell...Chariots of fire!...
The other bride has become an icon and beacon for those who may want to dart off but decide sometimes the grass ain't always greener and she's blessed to have and to hold till death do they part!
Love is in the air! It's a beautiful thing!
