Book Review: "Just My Luck" By Adele Parks

Lexi and Jake have hit a big with a lottery win of L 17.8 million but will their lives become forever changed from this new found luck?

Lexi and Jake have been friends with Jenn and Fred and Patrick and Carla for years but never has this friendship been tested until now.

Everyone seems to want a piece of the pie. Their fair share. But will this couple be willing to share or will the fight take them to the grave.

Affairs of the heart or of the mind -either way- their not good. The family is already torn but add to this deceit, trickery, deception, and betrayal and you have yourself a mess to clean up and repair.

Perhaps all is fair in love and war until someone gets hurt -or kidnapped- whatever the case may be.

What about the kids Emily and Jake? How will they tell the kids? How will they respond? Will they party like rock stars? After all they are around that age of experimentation? Wild tendencies can happen.

However, nobody ever thought it would happen to Emily. Her relationship with Ridley has seemed to falter but the situation has turned dire in regards to what happens next.
Can she overcome and rebuild?

Will anyone be tempted to push the envelope even further?

How can a family overcome the idea that one of them may not be honest with themselves or their family and in fact put them in harms way for the sake of money, fame, or lustful tendencies?

So much is on the line and one thing is certain it's sure to get hotter before things settle down.

Will this family turn to the last option of divorce or can they weather the storm together?
Every emotion rides to the top with this one.

It's a thriller that's absolutely baffling.

Thank you to the author, the publisher, Netgalley, and Amazon Kindle for this ARC in exchange for this honest review.
