Book Review: "Summertime Guests" By Wendy Francis

When life gives you lemons you make the lemonade sweeter than sugar & throw yourself one hell of a party.

How to bring four unique couples into one scene within an illustrious establishment such as the grandeur of The Seafarer is just part of the extreme joy of this novel.
Witnessing how these couples react, how they correspond to individual hardships, and how they improve upon their lives as well as to their extended families and friends was so invigorating.

Summertime is such a glorious time with weddings, graduations, celebrations galore!
The glamorous grounds will soon be celebratory with guests arriving for the union of Riley and Tom.

The hotel manager Jean-Paul struggles to keep his own marriage in tact after a scandalous issue at work.

Meanwhile, Claire was hoping to re-connect with a long lost love only to uncover much has changed in thirty years so settling for a night out and dinner may just be on the ticket.
Along with this theme is Jason and his girlfriend hoped for a romantic getaway but things have turned the other way.

Though as the author mentions it was horrific to start with a woman falling to her death from the balcony it's also a way to bring everyone together these various couples in exploring their lives, in determining what's most important, in uncovering what love is all about, and in getting older and learning those hard fought lessons that life is short and you never know who may be silently suffering.

Be kind and love one another is the motto and it's one we should all take to heart.
The perfect read during these chaotic times!

Thank you to Wendy Francis, the pub, NetGalley, and Amazon Kindle for this wonderful ARC in exchange for this honest review.

Wendy Francis has always been a fan favorite for me and I look forward to reading her next work.
