Book Review: "Shadow of the Dragon" By Marc Cameron

“Socialism was no better, just Communism by another name. All of them had been around the world and witnessed firsthand the damage Communist regimes rained down on the people. Voicing the notion aloud made one sound like a crazed zealot, but experience had taught everyone in the room that Communism was a fairy tale on paper, the cold reality of which brought riches to the rulers and sorrow, starvation, and death to the ruled.”― Marc Cameron, Shadow of the Dragon

I did enjoy this one as the missing Chinese scientist, coupled with the adventure of finding a mole, all while dealing with problems that plagued President Jack Ryan came to a head.

It was full of mystery, intrigue, and plenty of militaristic action with spyware at the helm of every operation while giving readers a feeling of unity on the front line.

What was unique was the mid to latter part in which things got smoking hot. The fact that the mole may have been revealed as the 'Surveyor' brought it to a new light.

The power struggles, the head to head action, the edge of your seat chills in uncovering deaths (sliced throats on several) with kids being targeted all brought the reality to life.

This was good as the eventual culprit was arrested and many wondered if he/she worked alone or had further assistance.

All in all a good read by Marc Cameron to keep this series moving forward!

Thank you to Marc Cameron, the pub, and the estate of Tom Clancy for this ARC in exchange for this honest review via NetGalley and Amazon Kindle.
